How to Type Bold, Italics, and Strikethrough in Whatsapp
Whatsapp users can use the formatting options by typing the following characters.
- Bold: By including an asterisk “*” in the beginning and to the end of the phrase, e.g. *Hi*
- Italics: Include an underscore “_” before and after the phrase you decide to be in italics, e.g. _I am Sumit_
- Strikethrough: Add a tilde “~” on both sides of the sentence to be stricken through, e.g. ~Hello~
- Monospace: To monospace your phrase add three backticks ““`” before and after the text, e.g. “`Yeah“`
Note: This method works on both Android and iOS-based Smartphones.
